Datewell(TM) by The Picture Org
Sets each photo's Date taken from the date in its file name.

Two ways to use it, one license for both:
  - The Datewell app (Windows and Mac): opens in your web browser, no Lightroom needed.
Windows: Start menu > Datewell. Mac: Applications > ThePictureOrg > Datewell.
  - The Lightroom Classic plug-in: select photos, then Library > Plug-in Extras > Set Date taken from file names.
Save Lightroom's changes to the files first (Metadata > Save Metadata to File), and afterwards choose
Metadata > Read Metadata from Files so Lightroom shows the new dates.

Nothing is changed until you have seen the preview and clicked Write dates. Every run can be undone
(app: Menu > Undo an earlier run; Lightroom: Library > Plug-in Extras > Undo a Datewell run).

Installing: run the Setup program (Windows) or "Install Datewell" (Mac). To install the plug-in by hand, quit
Lightroom Classic, copy the PictureOrgDatewell.lrplugin folder somewhere safe and add it in File > Plug-in Manager.

The full guide: docs/Datewell-User-Guide.html. Free 21-day trial, then a license key: see LICENSE.txt.
Third-party software (ExifTool, Python): see NOTICE.txt.
